ROBERT ENGLERT
Managing Attorney
Robert Englert, the firm's Managing Attorney, has focused his career on ensuring his clients receive the Justice they deserve.  Whether in nationwide mass tort cases, class action cases, or individual client cases, Mr. Englert has obtained significant and impressive results in the toughest of cases.  His practice focuses on civil legal matters with an emphasis on catastrophic personal injury litigation.  As a proven and successful trial lawyer, Mr. Englert does not shy away from difficult cases that other attorneys may reject because a case is difficult or settlement is unlikely.  "When I take on a plaintiff's case, I have every intention of ensuring they receive their day in Court in front of a jury and prepare every case in anticipation of going to trial and unless the otherside is willing to resolve the case fairly in favor of my client, we'll see them in Court."

Mr. Englert has served as lead counsel or co-counsel in a number of cases that have resulted in huge, sometimes record-breaking, outcomes.  Most recently, Mr. Englert was plaintiff's counsel in a birth injury case in Erie, Pennsylvania that resulted in a record-setting $21.6 million verdict.

Mr. Englert was also plaintiff's counsel in a $5.12 million settlement announced in October 2009 for the family of a 16-year-old boy who drowned after he was taken by a school supervisor on an unauthorized off-campus school swimming outing.

In July 2009, Mr. Englert, as lead trial counsel, won a $582,000 jury verdict for the family of a bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle passing a double-parked car in Philadelphia.  A settlement had been reached earlier with the owner of the parked car.

In 2013, Mr. Englert was selected by his peers and his adversaries who have personally observed him in action as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in its Rising Stars category for representing clients in personal injury and medical malpractice cases, an honor which is reserved for only the the top 2.5% of all lawyers in Pennsylvania under the age of forty.

Mr. Englert began his career as a trial lawyer at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was one of the founding members of the Penn Law Mock Trial Team, a student-run organization committed to providing interested students with a greater exposure to trial advocacy skills and the benefits of courtroom experience.  In 2009, he was appointed to the University of Pennsylvania Law School adjunct faculty as a Lecturer in Law to supervise and develop the mock trial program. Since then, the team has grown to more than 40 student members who compete in trial advocacy competitions across the state and nationally. In 2013, four members of Mr. Englert's team won the National Championship at the ABA Labor & Employment Trial Advocacy Competition in Dallas, Texas, ultimately prevailing over ninety-eight teams from other law schools throughout the country. In 2015, Mr. Englert was appointed an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

As a third-year law student, Mr. Englert was the director of The Unemployment Compensation Project, a student-run pro bono clinic with more than 20 members. Mr. Englert also taught legal research and writing to first-year law students at Penn Law.

Mr. Englert has previously worked for the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Organized Crime & Narcotics as well as for the United States Attorney's Office in Camden, New Jersey.

Mr. Englert is an avid motorcycle rider and competitive marksman.  He is an Endowment Member of the NRA as well as a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association, the Liberty Township Sportsman's Association, the Delaware County Field & Stream Association, and Targetmaster.
